I am a PhD student in Comparative Literature at the University of St Andrews. During my time at Ca' Foscari University, I worked as a research fellow in the Venice Pilot, contributing to the organization of activities and the analysis of impact.

Alan Haksten (b. 1984) is an Argentine/Swedish film composer, accordionist, and guitarist. Holding a Master’s from Lund University, he blends contemporary tango, electronics, and folklore into minimalist and orchestral scores for media.

Andrea is a communication professional with a long experience in EU funded projects. This has also been her role in Bauhaus of the Seas Sails, as well as organisation of project events.

I am a Spanish architect, researcher, and educator working at the intersection of design, art, and environmental humanities. I coordinated the Storytelling project with TBA21, and designed the final Storytelling art installation at Ocean Space.

During my time at Gulbenkian I developed Art and Science projects, nurturing the presence of science in the music and contemporary art sectors. For the BoSS, I ensured the cultural support for the activities and art works of Lisbon and Oeiras.

Bernardo Gaeiras is a designer, artist, and PhD researcher at ITI/LARSyS and IST, working with speculative sonic artefacts for ecological attunement. At Bauhaus of the Seas Sails, he developed the Bugio Ecological Radio Station in Oeiras.

Architect (University of Alicante), post-grad in Human-Animal Studies (ICS Lisbon), and Digital Media PhD candidate (ITI Lisbon). He founded la cuarta piel, an artistic collective translating territorial metabolisms via material experiments.

Carola Hein is Professor History of Architecture and Urban Planning at Delft University of Technology. She leads the LDE PortCityFutures Center and serves as UNESCO Chair of Water, Ports and Historic Cities.

Dario Pruonto (Milan, 1992) is a poet and multidisciplinary artist.

As part of the project, he conducted artistic research and a focus group that gathered ideas and memories, which were then compiled into a Human Library.

Diana Policarpo is a visual artist and composer working between Lisbon and London. Along with Bernardo Gaeiras we created Rádio Búgio platform and Bugio-Eco Station in Oeiras.

I am a visual artist. In “Creators Club for the Sea” I taught Malmö locals about the citizens of the Öresund strait; the eel, herring, etc by the species habitats. We learnt through information and through the immersive nature of sketching plein air.

Erik Peters is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher with a focus on speculative storytelling and queer ecology. He works as educator and Ocean Ambassador for Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

EU funding and international cooperation specialist. At the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, I promoted European funding opportunities for culture and creativity and supported cultural organisations in developing successful funding strategies.

I am a regenerative agriculturalist, environmental engineer, and consultant for regenerative land use. At Gut Haidehof (Hamburg, Germany), I co-develop and manage a regenerative farm project and holistic learning site for regenerative culture.

As an Ocean Ambassador I planned and performed interactive music- and dance events with, and for children and families. My work centered around raising curiosity, emotion and interest for the life in our shared ocean - targeting citizens of tomorrow.

I am an environmental economist specialised in EU affairs. I participated in the design of this project and was a member of the Coordination Team, contributing to management, gender, ethics, communication, dissemination and replication activities.

Inês Valle is a curator and creative producer driven by a commitment to international and interdisciplinary exchange. During her time at CAM Gulbenkian, she coordinated the Portuguese Lisbon and Oeiras Pilots as part of the Bauhaus of the Seas Sails.

We are a design and architecture practice advancing regenerative, bio-based design. Developing oyster and algae tiles through the Radical Waters residency in Lisbon. Materials are for us not a choice but a cultural responsibility.

I am a marine biologist, chef, gastronomy consultant and founder of Rota das Algas, promoting sustainable food systems through seaweed. As an Ocean Ambassador for Bauhaus of the Sea Sails, I contributed to the development of the Regenerative Menu.

I am a communication designer, lecturer, and PhD student in Digital Media. In September 2023, I co-created and co-led Eden X 2.0, a more-than-human assembly on the Tagus River, convened as part of the Bauhaus of the Seas meeting in Oeiras, Portugal.

I'm an architect and urbanist, working as a PhD student at ITI/LARSyS. As part of the BoSS cohort, I developed research that explores interspecies interactions and human-nonhuman synergies in the intertidal zone of the Tagus estuary in Lisbon.

As an architect working on the city’s cultural heritage, I helped bring the council’s cultural and innovation policies into practice on the ground, making sure the project delivered real impact and could be replicated elsewhere.

Mariana is a foodscape researcher and architect. She co-developed Lisbon Spice Rack with Rain Wu and Inês Neto dos Santos, adapting traditional recipes with foraged halophytes and other native salt-flat species to promote regenerative food practices.

Mariana Simões is an architect and PhD candidate in Digital Media. As a researcher at ITI/LARSyS, she collaborated with Lisbon Pilots “Regenerative Menu” and “Blue Makerspace”, exploring relations between pigmented materials and landscapes.

I am a geographer and digital storytelling producer, using GIS and digital tools to explain places and processes of change. During my time at TU Delft, I contributed to Work Package 5.

I am a PhD student at Aarhus BSS, working on entrepreneurship and third places. During my time at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, I worked as research fellow within Work Package 4, aimed at defining replication strategies for pilots’ projects.

Paula Côrte-Real is a Landscape Architect at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, where she currently oversees the Maintenance, Educational Programming, and digital content strategy for the Gulbenkian Garden. She was the speaker for the Living at BSS.

During my time as the resident artist at CAM Gulbenkian, I conceive and led the Lisbon Spice Rack project with Inês Neto dos Santos and Mariana Salvador, transforming foraged plants into food-based interventions that reconnect eating with place.

Ricardo is an ecological economics researcher in environmental footprints, life cycle assessment, planetary boundaries, and wellbeing. As part of the BoS project coordination team, he oversaw and supported the replication activities within WP4.

I supported the coordination of the Genoa drop of the BoS project (Inclusive Digital and Artistic Storytelling), facilitating the connection between creatives, communities, OAs and Speaker for the Living

I am a director and visual artist. For the Bauhaus of the Sea project, I curated a series of video installations and interviews in the Sturla–Vernazzola pilot area (Municipality of Genoa). The works were presented in an immersive exhibition.

Copywriter and digital storyteller based in Genoa, worked as Project Manager for the Genoa project working group, coordinating Studiowiki and Ideazione team.

With a background in Comms, I grew my interest for philanthropy and socio-environmental challenges at the Gulbenkian Foundation where I’ve been working for almost 20 years. For this project I brought my experience with climate and public engagement.

Being a chef for 20 years and still fighting for good sustainable food, that is grown on farms by passionate People. Worked in different restaurants, longest my own organic farm to table nose to tail concept in the heart of hamburg.

Since 2017 she has worked for the Municipality of Genoa on EU projects and, since 2021, has been responsible for the EU Projects Coordination Office. She is project manager of the BoS project for the Genoa pilot.

I am a engineer-architect. Whilst a PhD researcher at IUAV University of Venice and a guest researcher at TU Delft, I took part at Ocean Ambassadors meetings, provided the Venice context on BoSS platform and contributed to Future Tidal Architecture.

Valentina is an IST, U. of Lisbon, Professor. As Co-PI of the project, she was involved in a variety of drops, from storytelling to Ocean literacy to biomaterials and bioregional products.
